The global pandemic continues to surge, making the transition to remote teaching urgent. As Taiwan's pandemic situation has required the education sector to quickly adapt to a new normal, IPEVO aims to enable teachers in Taiwan and the U.S. to easily and quickly use "high-definition" imaging. In response to the overwhelming positive feedback from the initial donation of 100 high-definition teaching cameras to the Taipei City Education Bureau in June during the pandemic, IPEVO now announces an additional donation of 230 high-definition teaching cameras to the education bureaus of eight more counties and cities: New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Tainan City, and Nantou County. The total value of this donation exceeds one million New Taiwan Dollars and includes three models: VZ-R, DO-CAM, and the globally popular V4K. Miaoli County Government will hold a donation ceremony on July 20th, inviting IPEVO to participate in the event.
IPEVO, a Taiwanese design and manufacturing brand, has redefined traditional bulky, complicated, and expensive document camera designs by creating a series of innovative, flexible, lightweight, and easy-to-use professional video teaching cameras. These high-definition, high-cost-performance teaching cameras have become the top teaching tool brand for K12 schools in the U.S., with a penetration rate of 60% in U.S. public K12 schools. IPEVO's founder and CEO, Royce YC Hong, stated, "As an original Taiwanese brand, IPEVO has successfully helped over 80,000 schools and countless enterprises worldwide create high-definition remote video experiences during the pandemic over the past year. During this severe pandemic period, we aim to assist Taiwanese teachers in seamlessly transitioning to online teaching using technology."
With the initial goal of improving life quality through technology, IPEVO has developed a series of simple, flexible, lightweight, and easy-to-use professional video teaching cameras. These cameras are equipped with 8-megapixel SONY CMOS sensors, support Mac, Windows, and Chrome OS, and are compatible with various third-party software, including Line, Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. This ensures that during remote teaching, annotations on teaching materials, experiment operations, and drawing processes are clearly visible, covering every crucial aspect of teaching and practice, thus enhancing the interactivity and engagement of the teaching environment.
IPEVO's video teaching cameras are not only the preferred equipment among teachers in U.S. K12 public schools but have also won multiple educational technology awards in the U.K. and the U.S. IPEVO has secured a significant position in the digital transformation of educational settings globally. CEO Hong further mentioned, "After the trial donation to the Taipei City Education Bureau in June, we realized the significant demand and gap. Therefore, we proactively contacted other county and city governments, hoping that IPEVO's high-definition teaching cameras could assist teachers in urgent need. Taking advantage of the summer break, we have increased the donation to education bureaus in nine counties and cities across Taiwan, enabling teachers to incorporate new teaching tools while preparing for the new semester, thereby fully leveraging synchronous, asynchronous, and blended digital teaching to achieve a high-definition transformation in Taiwan's educational technology."
Miaoli County Magistrate Hsu Yao-Chang expressed gratitude for IPEVO's charitable contributions to education, highlighting the company's spirit of corporate social responsibility. To thank IPEVO for its focus on the county's education and donation of school equipment, the Miaoli County Government will present a certificate of appreciation to show their sincere gratitude. During this severe pandemic period, the county government will also make every effort to digitalize the teaching environment and assist school teachers in using technology to meet the needs of online teaching.
